Crochet i-cord tutorial

I-cord it’s perfect to use it as edging or create unique projects.

One of next posts will be a project using exclusively i-cord so train and be ready

Use any yarn or hook you like(you can expirement with more or less chains)

1) Ch5. Pull a loop in 2nd ch from hook. Pull a loop in 3rd ch from hook. . Pull a loop in 4rth ch from hook.Pull a loop in 5th ch from hook.

2) Remove from hook the four last loops (hold the loops between your fingers so that they don’t become  loose).Yarn over and draw a loop through the loop   that remained on hook.

3) Re-insert hook in the next loop , yarn over and draw a loop through.(Now you have two loops on the hook)

 

4) Re-insert hook in the next loop , yarn over and draw a loop through.(Now you have three loops on the hook)

5) Re-insert hook in the next loop , yarn over and draw a loop through.(Now you have four loops on the hook)

6) Re-insert hook in the next loop , yarn over and draw a loop through.(Now you have fiveloops on the hook)

7)Repeat steps 2-6 until you make a cord at the desired length.

Ready!You can attach your i-cord on your projects or use imagination and create something from scratch!
